The race director is asking if we could get a few volunteers (adults and teens) to help out SATURDAY, June 1. – 8am arrive at shoalwater bay trailhead parking lot, and then set up at Junction 7 .

I am not sure how long we will be out there.

Please note that the organizer’s husband is putting on the Spence Mtn Mayhem race. The organizer is not charging race fees for juniors. So hopefully, anyone planning on participating in that race, hopefully can give back by volunteering for this event. It will also give great exposure for our team to the local running/mtb community.

If you can’t help all day, I just need to know what times you will be there. Please provide this information in the comments. I will have RSVP options. Please indicate in the comments, who will be coming. (just your teens, you, etc.). I would like to get back to Amber by early next week, so please update your availability. If you can’t please specify no. Otherwise, I will keep sending reminders out! :)

Below is the request from the organizer.

The aid station I need help with is located at Junction 7. It gets hit a few times, once by the 1/2 marathon, once by the 30k, and twice by the 50k. 50k starts at Shoalwater at 8:30, although we normally have some early starters at 7am.

Junction 7 would need to be set up no later than about 8:45 to ensure ample time. This aid station gets traffic throughout the day into the afternoon, as it’s mile 28.5 again for the 50k. It’s a long day and might be good to switch out volunteers if you think you could get a few different kids out there. Will need at least 2 adults + a few teens there the entire day.

Once I get a feel for who is committing ( I hope to get more than we need), I will give her a listing, so she can cross this off her list. I will also give her your contact info, as she may have communication that she gives to volunteers.
