Coach Registration & Certification The Invite: Your team director's invites will be generated from Pit Zone via email. Sometimes these get caught up in SPAM filters (so keep an eye out in your junk folder). Once you receive the invite, this is your cue to register and complete the annual background check. Certification: Becoming season-ready as a coach is a three-prong process: 1) Register in Pit Zone and complete the background check. Any questions regarding login/sign up - https://nationalmtb.org/pit-zone-faqs/ 2) Complete the certification process. To access your certification courses, log in to Pit Zone. On the Pit Zone homepage, click the Course, Resources, & Benefits button. (see picture below) This will take you to the NICA Education Center for Level 1, 2, and 3 certifications. Note that the following two classes are required annually for all certification levels: > CDC Heads Up Concussion Training > NICA Philosophy, Safety, and Risk Management At a minimum, coaches need to be registered and Level 1 certified in order to ride with student-athletes. |
