Preseason Events/Rides are intended to be casual, fun, social, & a great opportunity for someone to experience mountain biking with a group of their peers.

If you are not registered with NICA in the PitZone, you must have a waiver to attend (riders and interested coaches) file attached.
Coaches – RSVP – at least a week in advance
Riders – RSVP – no later than 48 hours to guarantee spot.

Practice plan:
*Stretch-when you arrive (lunges/inch-worms)
*Preride talk: introductions (have you ever)/safety talk
*Skill work: Bike 101 fundamentals – pedal position, eye movement, braking, steering
Todays Goal: Social Fun!
Group A: 1 hour casual pace,
Group B: 45min casual pace,
Bike Games (limbo, slow race, mini bike race)

Student-Athletes and Coaches will not share equipment, water, or food. Everyone must come to practice prepared (see pdf file for complete list)
Mountain bike suitable for riding trails (no single speeds)
Helmet, Closed toe shoes
Tube, Tools, Pump
Water and snack
Extra Clothes (jacket/arm warmers)
Hand Sanitizer
Medication for self administration (inhalers, epi pens)
PPE such as Masks or other face covering (i.e. for mechanical, first aid assistance).
Coaches – Disposable gloves – for mechanical, first aid assistance (required for coaches)
