lillian.kfcmtb@gmail.comWe follow NICA ride group guidelines, we have a strict 1:6/2:8 coach to student ratio, To participate, you must RSVP by at LEAST 48 hours in advance and is subject to availability.
If you are not registered in the PitZone yet, or just wanting to try this out, I must have a signed waiver by parent/guardian.
Your teen will need a suitable mountain bike to participate (26"-29" wheels, with a front suspension fork, with gears. Bike must be in good working order, and must be the appropriate size bike for your teen. If not sure, please arrange to stop by Zach’s Bikes for a free inspection, and to check if bike is the right size. Not having a bike that fits your teen, or that is not in good working condition will not provide an enjoyable experience. You will also need a helmet, wearing closed toe shoes. Remember to bring a water bottle that can be mounted on the bike or be carried (i.e waistpack) or hydration pack. All teens need to be self-supportive. For a full list of what is required for our team rides, see attached file (Team Rider Checklist).
For those just trying this out, we understand you may not have all the gear listed in our “Team Rider Checklist”. Just make sure you have something to drink, and a snack, and appropriate attire for the weather. If your teen has any health issues, please make sure they have their medication with them, and they can administer this themselves. Please let our head coach know ahead of time, so we are aware.
