Coach Registration - now open in PitZone

6 Mar 2022 by Lillian Schiavo

March 1 – Coach Registration for Fall 2022 is now open in PitZone.

I will be sending out email reminders in the PitZone shortly.
If you forgot what was all involved in this process, check out the “Coaching Info and Resources” page, in the “Team/Coach/NICA info” dropdown menu.

As a reminder, you will need to be fully licensed to participate in any team rides, including pre-season team rides. If you are interested in becoming a Level 2 coach, let me know.
I can see about getting scheduled the necessary training that is required.

The number of Level 2 coaches will determine the number of ride groups we can have at each practice. So in order for our team to grow, we need to have more Level 2 coaches that can commit to at least one team ride per week. This allows us to organize riders in the appropriate skill level and age groups. All of our returning coaches have enough coaching hours to qualify for Level 2 certification. First aid, CPR, & On the Bike 101 is all required training for Level 2 certification. Many of our current Level 2 coaches will need to be recertified again for first aid and CPR , as this expires every two years. Once all have done all the necessary on-line training, I can get this scheduled for a group class. But I want to make sure all other training is complete. In the past the team had paid for a few individuals training, but then they never did finish all of their certification.
We will begin to have some preseason activities soon, so please use this “down time” to get started on your certification training. All of this takes time, so I’m trying to get early reminders out.

Thank you,

Lillian
